don't know if it's crazy enough, but how he asked me out still spins our colleagues' and friends' heads. we were just dating in the first semester of our college, and he asked me to come along for some terrain hiking. we were crossing over the highway that led into some forests. and that's when we saw it. somebody must have run over the female of a monkey tribe. and the other monkeys kept streaming over the scene..screeching and bawling! And tried attacking us. And that's when my man, the my date, held me close, shielded me as a monkey went for his leg(he kicking and trying to shoo the miscreant away) and simply said to me, "I love you. No one's going to harm you. I might as well take the sh** out of him. Will you be mine? Like forever and all? I love you. I want nobody else!!!"
ReplyDeleteThat did stump me, and left me baffled as to how could someone not pay attention to the certain situation where we were to be attacked by the entire monkey clan at Amer hiils! And then whoosh! comes a mini bus, we hop in, and he blushes red till he couldn't take no more. I agreed as soon as I reached my hostel premises safe.
Ahh I love Max! Their tunics and flats are to die for. My mom and me always freak out at Max! And luckily for me, I have a few aunts in Dubai who get me ballet flats (snake skinned this time) from Max.
ReplyDeleteI am currently single, but my Crazy Stupid Love story would be the Valentine's week in 2010. My then bf surprised me with a week-long Paris getaway (I was in Milan, studying and he was in Texas) , since the 12th was our anniversary and 14th of course was Valentines. I was so excited and could not stop thinking about what I would wear (classic), but he was too lazy to pack. He kept putting it for later. The night before we left (we had a budget flight at a random airport that was 1.5 hours away from the city at 7:30 am) I insisted we pack, but he told me to relax. Next thing I knew I was rudely woken up at 3 am. We had to leave in 45 minutes. I packed for both of us in a hurry, while he ran to withdraw money from the ATM! Then we had to get a bus to the airport. I was in a bad mood. I also realized I forgot to pack the tiny bag with our chargers, which meant we could not charge our phones, camera or laptop. He kept reassuring me that if we missed the flight, he would book another one right away.
We charged through the airport, I think I knocked over an old woman's bag and she yelled at me in Italian, but we made it.
The flight was another nightmare. Since it was a budget thing, for the hour long duration, we had to keep listening to the announcements of the sponsors in every language possible! I was on the verge of a headache.
After landing, and after taking another bus (for 45 minutes), it was a 10 minute walk to out hotel from the station. People were kind enough to direct us, in English, and the moment we stepped out of the station, it began to snow.
It was the most magical moment. We were both laughing, we threw snow at each other. I think people thought we were crazy!
Long story short, it was the best week ever, and probably the best Valentine's treat ever. I doubt anything or anyone else can top that.
And we did buy a couple of disposable cameras, so I do have a few pictures!

ReplyDeleteMy crazy moment would be on my birthday last year.My family is quite protective of me,and am really not allowed to out at night as in live in Delhi.So on my birthday i was given a 8pm deadline.I met my then bf around 2pm.He asked me where do i really want to go.I just instatly replied "aaj kuch toofani karte hain" lol..Well then we headed for a long drive at jaipur highway.I realized on our way that he already had an idea i would say this,so we had our ice box,snacks and really lots of food with us.We reached Jaipur in no time.We had our lunch in Jaipur.i cut my Birthday cake there in the middle of road in Jaipur.Also i was back home by 7.55pm.And yes Jaipur is roughly around 3.5 hours from Delhi.I still don't know how we managed to drive to and fro and with our quick lunch..Just how did i reach home on time hahahaa.. But yes.that's definitely my most crazy moment with my love.And after reaching home when asked i was like yeah just went for lunch and some window shopping in the mall.I atill can't believe how we manged to have celebrated my Birthday in a totally different city :) :D

ReplyDeletethe most craziest thing that i have done for #CRAZYSTUPIDLOVE is running away from my hostel to meet my guy who is now my husband!!...Let me elaborate a little. It was in the year 2000 i was in Finland studying for my bachelors degree and was staying in the college hostel, So as i was already very far off from my then bf and trust me in those days ISD calls were super expensive and internet was too new..it was one month before my anniversary that i started asking my father to send me a ticket to come back for a few days..but he refused due to some reason which i have forgotten now..lol..but at that time we had to meet in any which way..so we planned that we will meet halfway in the airport.. he booked a ticket somehow for dubai..he had to beg his friends for money =( and even I had to work double shifts after college to arrange the money..so in all this i forgot to apply for leave in my college..since it was just a matter of 20 hours to come back to college i didnt bother enough..and a day before my anniversary i flew to dubai without informing anyone in my college or hostel..we met at the Dubai airport..we had like 5 hours to catch our flights back..and it was the best anniversary date ever..But in the mean while the college authorities could not find me anywhere and it was at night when the hostel warden called up my mom to ask if they had heard from me…Little did I know what was waiting for me on my return =(..but it was all worth it!! <3 You know that’s why Love is often called #CRAZYSTUPIDLOVE

Well...for starters......I MADE my guy propose to me, coz otherwise he would never have had the courage to say anything! :P
ReplyDeleteActually, I made our colleagues (we used to work together) tease him and ask him whether he had ever proposed to a girl....and at the end of it all, he got so flustered that he called me aside and proposed to me! That too in three languages!!! Yes...he told me "I love you" in English, Hindi AND Bengali....just to show the depth of his feelings, I guess! (And maybe because he was too strung up by then!) Well......as for my #CRAZYSTUPIDLOVE, from the next month onwards, on that very date, every month, I tell him "I love you" in a different language! It's been 21 months till now...and am 21 languages wiser! I don't know whether there are that many languages in the world that will last me a lifetime.......but am sure not gonna give up easily!!! :))

ReplyDeleteThis Craziest thing I did for my Love was two years ago. I pre-planned a cute surprise for him; on 30th January 2011.It was his Birthday. This was the perfect moment to show my love for him where valentine day was some days far and I thought to wish my love with Loads and Lots of love. So it happened like weeks back I went to a gift shop and ordered around 1000 copies of special Birthday and valentine cards. I actually shelled out a good amount of money from my savings to arrange a something special him on his D day! I personally chose, read and shortlisted each and every card of different size and shapes which actually took four meetings with the shop owner. Finally I got my hands on the pile of cards and went on with my Plan. On his birthday when his was out for a meeting and with the help of his mom I stuck my personalized greeting cards all over his bedroom walls, it was that covered that it felt like a Card gallery! And lastly I filled the empty floor of his room with millions of heart shaped red balloons. Finally the time arrived to surprise him...The moment he entered his room he was spell bound and looked almost thrilled of what I did he never expected! That was the Best-est moment of our relationship we ALWAYS cherish! He thought this was Craziest yet a beautiful surprise a girl can ever give to her boyfriend!

It was in the year 2004 that i first noticed Ben, he was our school captain and i was just an ordinary school girl. There was the annual plus2 fest coming up and one of my guy friend and me decided to audition for western duet. Ben was also auditioning. He was one of the best singers and surprisingly that day my partner and me gave him a stiff competition. Eventually in the second round he did crush us. Nevertheless i began to loathe him. The very sight of him used to evoke my otherwise dormant anger! But after few days, well into the practice session for the fest ( i participated in the group song) i begin to notice him staring at me. In someways i began to enjoy this attention. I too began to give back those stares. Suddenly i started noticing how handsome he was, how well built he was and how charming he actually was.I was love struck!! I confided in my bestie at that time, as she kind of knew him and she played a major role in getting us together. The simple thing she did was tell him i liked him and told me he liked him. The funny part was when he proposed me to be his girlfriend. I Joined the school choir just to see him. In one of the practices he came up to me and said," If i propose you today what will your answer be?" and i coyly replied "Yes." Then he went on to say, "Okay, i propose you, so whats your answer?" and i told him "yes" again. The way he approached me is epic and till this date i have a hearty laugh, thinking about it. Now it's almost Nine years since we have been together, we've had our shares of ups and downs, I cannot imagine my life without him and oh yes! we both are waiting for the perfect timing to get married soon :) I love him to the moon and back.

ReplyDeletethe craziest thing that i have done for #CRAZYSTUPIDLOVE and wud never do again was going bald for my hubby, my hubby had to go through a head surgery after an accident and due to which he had to shave off his head, he was already traumatized due to the accident so i supported him and got my head shaved too just to make him feel better.. <3

DeleteI was in 10th when i first saw him. It was love at first sight for me, whereas he didnt even notice me. We went so same tution class luckily. Thats how we met. And our first fight was a fight. I was way notorious back then. Never attentive in class.
ReplyDeleteMy teacher asked him to read out his homework out loud and I was busy doing masti. Teacher caught me, stopped him in between and asked me to repeat whatever he just said.
I replied " Sorry mam, i could hear him as his voice was very soft". The teacher asked him to repeat, and he did. The teacher asked me to repeat and i said i could'nt hear him again. He got really mad, and asked me what exactly my problem was. Instead of talking to your girlfriends, why dont you concentrate in the class. I told him to mind his own business. Thats when our teacher made us quite and asked him to continue with his essay.
Man i felt so insulted in front of all my friends. I know he was no where at fault. I was really mad for few days, but there was something that drew me towards him. My friends notice the change in me and they started teasing me with him. And i started ignoring their comments. But i could feel that i was being drawn to him.
Time passed and we grew. I went to Bombay for my further studies. I was surprised and shocked and when my best friend back in my hometown called and informed that HE is in her college and now they are very good friends. She introduced us when i went to to my home and thats when we became friends.We exchanged our numbers and have been chatting everyday ever since them. We are much more than Best friends now and I hope this remains forever. HE is the best thing i could have ever asked for in my life. Loves me the way I am without expecting any change in me. the first time i heard of him was when my father mentioned about him and asked me to exchange our bio-datas for the matrimonial purpose. we rejected each other first hand on seeing the bio-datas... clearly we have distinct differences in likes and thoughts and ambitions and careers. a few days later we while our parents were still still trying to convince us to meet atleast once we talked over g-talk. i was an RJ with radio mirchi back then and he- a manager with an insurance company, we had nothing in common to talk. but he felt a spark. not that he knew it then n there that i was the one but he wanted to talk more n get to know me more. so we talked. a week later we told our parents we were ready to meet n see the family. to cut the long story short... our parents rejected each other and we fell in love the same day. it was mutual and we knew it. the next whole month went in manao-patao the families... our parents still weren't much happy until the day we decided to meet again. we had to get the parents meet and sort out some differences... and confess our love for each other. the parents gave in and a week later we were engaged. its pretty strange because i was the 50th girl he was meeting and in just 3 days of talking over g-talk he knew i was the one... the day he drove 4 hours from ahmedabad to rajkot to see me for the first time (no one knows about this yet in our families) made me fall for him too. the three cups of coffee on our first date because we didnt want to wind up the date and go home was the best coffee we have ever had! the little lying we had to do while our parents disapproved of us and were secretly dating (for every date- he use to drive 8 hours to and fro!) has been the sweetest memories of our life. he driving long routes for 8 months before we tied the knot has been the craziest loveliest thing he has ever done for me while i used to play his favorite songs over radio when he used to bbm me ' i m in your vicinity... i can hear you on radio now, see you in an hour' . Nd we still love each other the same crazy way! #CRAZYSTUPIDLOVE

Okay. My sweet, little stupid story with a pinch of craziness. Here it goes. It started when a couple of friends were at my place. Food. Chit-chat. Fun. Midst of the conversation, the question arose for the single people. "Who's going to be your lucky one?". I said, "Jo chaand sitaare lake de sake" and giggled. So did others. I said I ain't kiddin' and they'll see it happening. Had fun. The day ended. Next evening when I came back from my class, I found a box kept on my bed. A huge one. I wondered that where did that come from. When I removed the lid, countless paper folded stars and a moon were kept in it. A note that said 'Cause you just sweep me off my feet. Cause the crazy little thing called love has engulfed me. Will you be mine? *his name*'. He. He. He was my best friend from the past 4 years. A day wouldn't pass without us talking. Somewhere round the corner I fell for him but ignored as I never got a signal from the other side. I sent a text which said "Are you drunk?". He replied "just intoxicated by you". Me: "Pickup lines, eh?" He: I meant what I said, I mean it and will forever do". While I was typing the next message my phone rang and he said "Come upstairs" and hung up. I was baffled. Climbed up the stairs. Found him standing. He pulled me and said "I love you, idiot. Will you now say you do too or shall I leave?" And I stood there, quiet and becharmed. After like an awkward 5 min silence a tear rolled out of my eye. Was super happy but couldn't speak a word. He hugged me and said "Tu mil gai janeman, ab zindigi me aur kya gam!" and I smiled and said "ILY". We went back to my room and talked like never before for the next 2 hours.Finally my mom showed up saying, dinner's ready. To him she said, "beta, join us." We had dinner and he left.
ReplyDelete3 months later, on his birthday I did one crazy thing. When he was out for classes I went to his place and asked aunty if he could keep him occupied after he comes for sometime and let me do a bit of surprise in there. Entered his room. Painted a wall red, with Birthday wishes and lots of small stupid creatures who said Thank you together. Called up a few of our good friends. The moment he entered and saw all of it, one could sense the happiness in his eyes. Though now our moms know about it after the wall paint incident, and they are okay. Hehe.
It's been 2.5 years since we are together. And I know that not a single force on this earth can set us apart. Forever and even after. <3 :)

During 2nd yr of my college , i gave a rose to my Statistics Professor in the middle of a ongoing 45min lecture dat was coz my bestfriend lost a challenge with our friends and to save her i said i will do it bt it was really crazy , all were trying to control their laugh while i was standing with the Professor , but with a matured decision Professor just took the rose and said me " Thank you very much , i wished it was my Bday today. But no problem i will accept this as a belated gift . " while i was just confused what to do :D
