We all have different skin tones and most of the time we envy those women who effortlessly carry bizarre lip shades while we struggle to find the right one! Skin tones may vary from Fair, Medium, Olive and Dark.

If you have thin lips stick to light-to-medium tones of lip colours. When your lip colour doesn’t strikingly contrast with your skin tone it creates a forgiving illusion of having fuller lips. Buttery lip sticks and tinted glosses also help you seal the deal. Buttery texture and gloss adds plumpness.

If you have fuller lips, it is always a huge plus. Ask those who don’t!

Play Up Next For The Perfect Pout

Now this applies to all skin tones and lip colours. Simple way to select the right shade for your skin is to figure out your skin undertone first and then hop on the nearest shade for your lips.

Fair Skin

Your best bet is to go nude. Think peachy lipsticks and nude coloured glosses. Avoid contrasting colours like dark chocolate and burgundy shades. If you still want to glam up with darker shades then you can never go wrong with the red lipstick.

Medium Skin

Seek out for all the colours you can think of, it will all look amazing on you. Milky cappuccino colours will make a perfect pact if you want to try nude colours or try a pink shade for the day. For night go with a brick red, it’s not overdramatic but will still make you feel glam with your little black dress.

Olive Skin

Like the orange is the new pink in lip colours you may try that for your pretty puckers. Shimmery bronze or warm pink will also look great.

Lip shades you should steer clear of are Purple & Brown. Purple will accentuate the yellow undertones in your skin and give you a sickly look. Whereas Brown will make your face look colourless.

Dark Skin

They say anything goes with darker complexion. Only we know the pain. As we said focus on having a clear skin and well behaved hair style. Bet! You will look more glamorous than everyone else. After all not everyone gets that tanned skin tone easily. Try orange or coral shades for a fun pop of colour and don’t forget to load up on the gloss to showcase your full lips.

Just stay away from milky or chalky colours with a lot of white in them because they’re too contrasting unless you’re going for a mod 60s look.

Eventually, wear what you like! Painting your lips is an art. Be Creative, Be Fun and Blow the Kisses.
